We provide an easy on-ramp into the art market for new inspirational artists while supporting under-resourced families. Read on for our brief story.
March 2020 we signed our lease for our basement shop in Old Colorado City. Such a great start for us. We have survived Covid, recession, the death of our dads and more than 10 floods in our little space. And now, it is time for an upgrade. People call us a "hidden gem", and "the light in the neighborhood". Well, "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine". Our basement days are passed! We found an amazing new space on Colorado Ave, in a prime location. Sanctuary Inspired Goods, LLC was founded by artists of Sanctuary Studios from The Sanctuary Church. That’s a lot of Sanctuary! And that is the point. A "sanctuary" is defined as "a place of refuge or safety." We now represent a wide variety of over 30 Colorado Springs artists. Being part of a community isn’t just about taking, it is about sharing. For the last three years Sanctuary Inspired Goods has donated 5% of the price of each item back into the community through our local food bank and other charitable organizations. We will continue this practice. Will you help us set up a fresh new shop? We are upgrading all our systems and getting ready for prime time up on busy Colorado Avenue. Our move-in date is February 1, 2023. Soft opening is the week of February 13. Grand opening is on First Friday Artwalk, March 3. We are looking for monthly support for 2024. One-time gifts are great as well. We are NOT a non-profit so you will not receive tax credit for this gift. We ARE however, a for-profit social enterprise.
